The Indian Hill Lady Braves 8th grade team finished the first third of the season with a 5-0 record as they defeated Mariemont and Taylor the week of December 11.

On Monday, the team traveled to face a tough Mariemont team. The Braves raced out to a 19-2 first quarter lead behind the hot shooting of Ella Riggs and a stingy defense. Mariemont showed great heart by chipping away at the lead, but key shots made by Annie Isphording and Elizabeth Whaley kept the home team at bay. Riggs finished with 17 points and Isphording added 9 points with 5 steals.


The Indian Hill Lady Braves 8th grade team completed the week with solid performances with wins over Madeira and Reading.

On Monday against Madiera, the Braves were lead in scoring by Ella Riggs with 28 points. Annie Isphording and Sarah Zimmerman added 8 points each.

The offense was aided by strong defensive play by Marina Anderson and Elizabeth Whaley.

After leading 30-5 at the half, the Braves cruised in the second half to a 58-11 win.

The Indian Hill Lady Braves 8th grade team opened their season with an impressive 31-26 win over Loveland.

The team was led by Ella Riggs, who scored 18 points while collecting 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Riggs also commanded both the offense and defense which played solid as a unit.

Ella DeBow added 6 points, 2 boards, and 2 steals. The inspired defensive play also had Kate Stuhlreyer and Elizabeth Whaley combining for 7 steals.

The Braves jumped out to an early lead and entered the locker room at halftime up 18-11.
